Lucerne
We landed in Zurich and took the train to Lucerne for our first destination. We spent 3 nights in Lucerne at the Hotel des Alpes, close to the train station and on the Reuss River with awesome views. That gave us two full days to explore at a pace that would also allow us to begin recovering from a 9-hour jet lag. This was our first visit to Lucerne. Here I (Gary) had an opportunity to meet a colleague in person for the first time. We both entered our retirement this summer!
